PARALLEL SESSIONS TIMETABLE (updated***)

 

Instructions To Oral Presenters:

Prepare Your Presentation

Each oral presentation is limited to 15 minutes (10 min presentation & 5 mins Q&A) including questions and answers. The length of the presentation material should be in accordance with the time allocated. Presenters are requested to load PowerPoint presentation materials 30 minutes before the session starts at the respective parallel room.

A representative will be available at each session room to facilitate uploading/transferring of the presentations to the PC/laptop. The presenting authors should be ready in the session room at least 10 minutes before the session starts since the session chair will check all presenters at the beginning of each session.

 

Determine Audio Visual Needs
All session rooms are equipped with the following audio-visual equipment:

      • LCD Projector
      • Windows-based PC
      • Screen

The computers in the parallel sessions are catered to Windows-based PC/laptop users. The PC/laptop will be configured with Microsoft Windows operating system as well as with Microsoft Office. It is reminded that the operating system cannot cater for any Mac OS. Presentations is recommended to be saved as Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx) or any other compatible form.

 

Create a Backup Copy of Your Presentation

It is recommended that all presenters bring at least 2 copies of the presentation to the session in case there is a problem with one of them. It is also advisable for the presenters to keep one version online (email/cloud/Dropbox etc) so that it can be downloaded in case of emergencies. Thumb Drive and hard disk are accepted.

 

Giving Your Presentation

Be considerate of the other speakers and audience by staying within the allocated time. The allocated time for the presentation includes a discussion and changeover to the next speaker. Session Chairs will hold each presenter to the allocated time. This is essential to ensure adequate time for questions and discussion as well as adherence to the schedule.
